Enhanced Review System

EBS Company's Employee Review System was revised to create an environment of collaboration and mutual understanding where employees positively anticipate their review sessions as an opportunity to exchange ideas and ensure performance and career goals are proactively addressed. 

​

To revise the current system and achieve the desired environment, analysis of the current system was required.  Current feedback and data acquisition from the organization's employees was the first step in determining a baseline to develop a new system.  Required elements to complete his project was the culmination of:

 

1) development and delivery of a departmental communication audit (data)

2) development and delivery of a three-part supervisors' training seminar

3) follow-up assessment/survey to ensure achievement of training objectives

4) revision of the review system to ensure achievement of the desired environment

5) follow-up assessment from employees to assure future improvements are considered and implemented.

Communication Audit

Developer/Auditor

Framework from the Communications Audit developed in COML 504  was utilized to determine communication preferences, tendencies and training gaps within this organization.

 

Skills and insight gained from the this exercise helped to uncover patterns in communication and provided the necessary data to develop a three-part Leadership Training Seminar for EBS's department supervisors.

The three-part seminar series intends to equip the organization's supervisors with the knowledge and communication skills to share EBS Company's values with the team, thus creating a cohesive culture of understanding and respect.  Working together guided by this foundation in values, EBS can accomplish great things...including happy employees, customers and vendors.

This seminar utilizes competencies gained in COML 511 (Training & Consulting), ORGL 610 (Communication & Leadership Ethics), and concepts from ORGL 600 (Foundations of Leadership).
